Chandler Elementary Assistant Principal Named TEPSA Region 3 Assistant Principal of the Year

Assistant Principal Katherine Schuelke of Chandler Elementary was named Region 3 Assistant Principal of the Year. Twenty Texas elementary school administrators have been named Region Assistant Principals of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA).

Schuelke, along with the 19 other administrators chosen as the Assistant Principal of the Year for their region, will be recognized at the TEPSA Awards Celebration in June at the Round Rock Kalahari. These administrators will also have the chance to be selected as the 2023 National Assistant Principal of the Year for Texas. The national award recognizes leaders who are committed to excellence through programs designed to meet the academic and social needs of all students; have firmly established community ties with parents and local business organizations; show strong educational leadership by setting high expectations for school staff and students; and exhibit exceptional leadership in a particular school program.

“These assistant principals play a critical role in ensuring student success,” said TEPSA Executive Director Harley Eckhart. “We’re proud of their leadership and commitment to Texas students and teachers.”

Congratulations to Assistant Principal Schuelke! We are #VISDProud of your devotion to our students.
