The Victoria Independent School District (VISD) has received an impressive response in its search for a District Two Trustee following the board's acceptance of Dr. De Los Santos' resignation.
A total of four applications have been submitted by qualified individuals eager to serve the community and contribute to the success of the school district. Submitted applications can be viewed at www.VISD.net/boardelections.
"The VISD Board of Trustees is committed to finding a highly qualified individual who shares the same passion and commitment to providing exceptional education for our students,” said Board President Mike Mercer.
The next step in the process will be the Special Called Board Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 25. During this meeting, the Board of Trustees will thoroughly deliberate and make the appointment for the District Two Trustee position.
